Evolution International is continuing to explore new and exciting destinations on behalf of our clients – CEO Andi Swain recently visited the beautiful region of Catalunya.
Catalunya region is located in North Eastern Spain, stretching from the picturesque Pyrenees Mountains on the French / Andorra borders in the North, down to the Medieval splendour of Tarragona and the Penedes wine growing region in the South. Renowned for its lively Costa Brava beach resorts, Catalunya’s pulsating core is the beautiful gothic city of Barcelona. It’s fair to say that the majority of us may well have visited Barça, but how many of us have explored beyond that fantastic city?
Andi shares his experiences and highlights of Catalunya:
Four weeks to go until the MK50 Sport Gala Dinner and we have already received nominations from sports clubs for some phenomenal “unsung heroes”. Some particularly worthy nominations received so far are:
According to the latest figures from the Office for National Statistics, the employment rate for people aged 16 to 64 now stands at 74.6%, the joint highest level since comparable records began.
Interestingly however, further reports also show there were a record-breaking number of job vacancies for January to March 2017. The total of 767,000 vacancies was the highest number since comparable records began in 2001 and 16,000 more than in the preceding three-month period.
So how do you attract the cream of the crop? And how do you retain your top talent?
Most of us have experienced a corporate gathering which is dull and unimaginative. We’ve shared your pain – which is why we love helping to deliver incredible events for our clients, large and small.
We’ve just completed a major two day conference to help one of our regular clients, Halfords celebrate the 125th anniversary of when founder Fred Rushbrooke opened his first shop.
As we previewed on our blog recently, we were very proud to be once again staging the Milton Keynes Business Achievement Awards on Thursday 9th March, both ours and the awards’ fourth year.
The awards are the highlight of the business year in MK, with virtually every key influencer in the city in one room to find out this year’s winners.
At Evolution, we love a challenge, and this was no different for our recent event for our newest client, Gumtree. Organising a post-staff conference dinner and party for 150 delegates, we were tasked with venue finding, event management, production support and sourcing entertainment.
Held at the end of January, the fun took place at Landing Forty Two, London’s highest dedicated event space on the 42nd floor of “The Cheese Grater”, offering panoramic views across the Thames and the City skyline.
Organised by the Milton Keynes Business Leaders Partnership (MKBLP), in partnership with Evolution and local marketing agency Interdirect, the awards recognise the achievements of Milton Keynes businesses of a variety of sizes and sectors. Continue reading
Gearing up for its fourth year, Evolution is delighted to have celebrated the launch of the Milton Keynes Business Achievement Awards 2017 on the evening of Tuesday 6th September.
Having started back in 2014, Evolution co-founded the Awards alongside MKBLP and Interdirect, and play a pivotal role in the event today, assisting with initial entries, the promotional process and especially on the night itself, dressing the room, running the stage show and providing all of the AV and staging. We love it when we get requests for one of our ‘Big Top’ structures, as it really gives us the chance to go to town with the event and get creative.
Luckily for us, one of our clients recently asked for just that! Continue reading
You may not believe it judging by the great British weather, but summer 2016 is almost here, bringing with it festivals, fetes, parties and a hive of outdoor entertainment.
Having been involved in many events from circus themed parties to large formal dinners, we know how difficult it can be to find a space suitable for all your needs – not forgetting, offering a roof overhead for unpredictable English showers.
Want to know our solution? Why not let the venue come to you…
In the form of a turtle (the stage kind, not the reptile), the fully contained space is perfect for smaller events, festivals and parties, providing plenty of protection for your stage performers from nasty sunburn, or worse, rain. It is even possible to join two turtles together, making a temporary indoor space suitable for a formal dinner of around 120 people. All we need is some flat ground.
If you’d like to find out more about hiring one of our turtles for your event, please contact Neil Woodward by emailing Neil.Woodward@evolution.international
